Creates, suspends and restores your customers' hosting accounts on your own WHM servers, and gives them a cPanel panel in their portal: disk and bandwidth, single sign-on into cPanel, webmail, the file manager and app installer, mailboxes, databases, subdomains, cron jobs and backups.

What you need

  • A WHM server reachable from Teculiar over HTTPS (port 2087).
  • A WHM API token for root or a reseller: WHM → Development → Manage API Tokens.
  • WHM packages set up for each hosting plan you sell.

Set it up

Add it first: under Admin → Products → Modules, open the Library tab and choose Add on cPanel & WHM.

  1. Go to Admin → Products → Modules and choose Configure on cPanel & WHM. Add a connection for each WHM server: its URL (for example https://whm.example.com:2087), the WHM user name and the API token. The token is stored encrypted and shown as ******** afterwards. Tick Allow Self-Signed SSL Certificate only if the server has no trusted certificate.
  2. Choose Test connection: it asks WHM for its version.
  3. On each hosting product, choose cPanel & WHM as the module and the WHM package the account is created on. Detect cPanel & WHM plans on the product page reads the server's packages and can turn each into a product.
  4. With several servers, put them in a server group on the product; see the Virtualmin guide's "Several servers" — it works the same way.

What it does for you

  • A paid hosting order creates the account on the product's package and emails the customer their cPanel login.
  • An unpaid renewal suspends the account; paying restores it. Accounts are never deleted automatically.
  • Customers open cPanel, webmail, the file manager and the app installer with one click — no second password — and manage mailboxes, databases, subdomains, cron jobs and backups from their portal.

Selling extra disk space

Create an add-on under Products → Add-ons with the effect cPanel & WHM: Extra disk space and the MB one unit adds. It raises the account's quota when paid and lowers it again when the add-on ends.

On your public API

If you build your own portal on Teculiar's public API, it can open cPanel and webmail for a customer with a one-time sign-on link (POST /services/:id/actions/sso or webmail). Because the link is a login, it only answers a secret (sk_) key sent from your server with the customer's token — never a publishable key. Mailboxes, databases and the rest stay in the panel.

When it is switched off

Hosting orders are still billed, but no account is created, suspended or restored: each waits for you to handle it in WHM. The panel disappears from your customers' portal. Nothing is deleted; switching the module back on resumes automation.

Before it goes off, Disable shows what it runs — services, domains, saved payment methods — and, for a payment module, the customers who renew through it, as a list you can download. Once it is off you can Remove it: its connections and their credentials, its server groups and its settings are deleted, and it goes back to the Library. Services, domains and products that name it stay, handled by hand.

Troubleshooting

  • Test connection says the token was refused: the token was deleted or belongs to another user.
  • A package is missing from the list: it is not visible to the WHM user the token belongs to.
  • Orders stay "waiting for you": the module is off, not configured, or the product's server group is full.
