Registers, transfers and renews your customers' domains through your Resell.biz (LogicBoxes) reseller account, and keeps your domain price list in step with Resell.biz's retail prices.

What you need

  • A Resell.biz reseller account with API access.
  • Your Reseller ID (auth-userid) and API key, from the Resell.biz control panel.
  • Your server's IP address allowed for API access in that panel.

Set it up

Add it first: under Admin → Products → Modules, open the Library tab and choose Add on Resell.biz Domain Registrar. A tenant that used it before the Library existed has it added already.

  1. Go to Admin → Products → Modules and choose Configure on Resell.biz Domain Registrar. The dialog lists your connections — one per reseller account. With none yet, the form for the first one is open; otherwise choose Edit connection. Test connection checks the key with a read-only call.
  2. Pick the API mode: Test while you try things out, Live when you sell real domains.
  3. Enter the Reseller ID and API key. The key is stored encrypted and shown as ******** afterwards; save without retyping it to keep it.
  4. Optionally set Default name servers — used when a customer leaves them empty at checkout.
  5. Make sure the module is switched on, then sync prices under Admin → Domain Prices.
  6. On each domain product (or its category), choose Resell.biz as the module. A domain product with no module is handled by hand: it is sold and renewed, and you register, transfer or renew at the registry and set the statuses yourself.
  7. Show this panel in the embedded portal is on by default. Turn it off to keep the domain panel (lock and transfer code) out of the portal you embed on another website.

What it does for you

  • A paid domain order is registered or transferred right away. An order that comes to €0 counts as paid the moment it is placed. A transfer without an auth code waits until you or the customer add it.
  • A transfer reads Transfer not started until Resell.biz accepts it, then Transfer in progress, then Active.
  • Renewals are sent when the renewal invoice is paid; expiry dates follow what the registry reports.
  • Customers can lock and unlock their domain and read the transfer code in their portal.
  • Some TLDs are handled by hand — .de, for example: the order waits for you to register it at the registry, and nothing is sent to Resell.biz.

On your public API

If you build your own portal on Teculiar's public API, it can read the transfer lock (GET /services/:id/actions/lock-state) and lock or unlock a domain (POST /services/:id/domain-actions/lock or unlock, an API key with domains:manage). An unlock returns the transfer code, so it only answers a secret (sk_) key with the customer's token.

When it is switched off

Domain orders still arrive and are billed, but nothing is sent to Resell.biz: each one waits for you to handle it by hand. The domain panel disappears from your customers' portal. Nothing is deleted, and switching the module back on resumes automation.

Before it goes off, Disable shows what it runs — services, domains, saved payment methods — and, for a payment module, the customers who renew through it, as a list you can download. Once it is off you can Remove it: its connections and their credentials, its server groups and its settings are deleted, and it goes back to the Library. Services, domains and products that name it stay, handled by hand.
